A lot people are bashing this toy because "it tastes vial" or "they can't wash it off." As I responded in another review, it is a chemical based toy that should not be put in the mouth and cleans up fairly easy.

If you love the show like my son does, this ooze is essential for the full immersion with the show's fiction. The ooze leaves a little bit of residue/wetness after being played with but this washed off 100% with standard Dial hand soap. I sat with my three year old while he played with this and I monitored him so he wouldn't attempt to place it in his mouth and watched where he placed it. We had no problems and he loved the toy. I highly recommend to parents of children that are able to play with the figures. Just monitor their initial interactions and enjoy watching the fun they have with their mutagen.

Anyone with common sense knows this isn't edible and washing your hands immediately after playing with it is strongly advised. A simple sanitary wipe or baby wipe will clean up any residue left behind where your child places it.

I gave it four stars based on the size of the vile versus what you pay for. Seems a little expensive for the handful you get.

That is a direct quote from my son who touched this stuff his younger brother got then went to football practice & must have gotten it in his mouth when he put in his mouthguard. It really is as bad as all the reviews say. The only way to use this is to not take it out of the tube. My younger son now uses it as a "powercore" & doesn't argue at all w/ the new rule since he made the mistake of touching his mouth after playing w/it too. Think pure DEET bug spray in your mouth only 100x worse & that's what it tastes like. I thought we might all mutate for real after coming in contact w/ this.

Not so good for children, I had to take this away from my 6 year old son because it left a residue on his hands that would stay on until he washed his hands at least 10 time.

it's ooze it looks weird and moves weird, what more should it do? neat by itself, these things are usually better when you have the "ooze" branded toys to play along, but i don't and the ooze itself is awesome enough. container has good detail and is easy to open and close, seems like it'll keep the ooze useable for a while. the mini turtle figure also well detailed and a cool little collectible. as with ooze i've had previously(including tmnt and nickelodeon products) it is nontoxic and generally nonstaining, but i'd be careful what you put it on and around. ooze has, does, and likely will continue to stink, it transfers the stink to everything it touches and doesn't just come off with a quick wash. it will also transfer a bitter taste, dunno why it's a big deal to some people, but it is a fact of playing with a manmade chemical goop. if it is similar to original ooze in other ways then it will also stick to carpet and other fabrics tenaciously, and bits of it will stay in crevices of toys(or anything else) you cover in ooze. i didn't deem it necessary to test those qualities again.

summary - ooze is a wonderful combination of fun and gross

MY MISTAKE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My grandson used his own birthday money to order this. I figured it would be disgusting from the ads and was not surprised at the texture, nor the stickiness when it picked up dirt and dust. Because I did not read the reviews before we used Ooze, he accidently touched his lips and mouth with his hand before we realized what a terrible product we had received. I will contact the company and ask for a complete refund. I used to trust companies to not sell a vile product intended for children. Hope their grandkids do not have to learn the hard way. Shame on you Nickelodeon, for cheating an 8 year old. I will not be ordering anything else from you.

After playing with the ooze my child ate raisins and didn't wash his hands. He had no ooze on his hand but he made him vomit for ten minutes and we were considering taking him to the er. I tasted to see if it had the same effect on me And it tasted really bad but I didn't vomit. I couldn't get the residue off his hand with soap and water until maybe after five tries than we used vinegar and water. It wasn't gone but not as apparent. We love to play with ooze but had to throw this one away because if the terrible effect and residue.

There should be a recall for this toy. The taste that it leaves in your mouth is horrible. Washing your hands, sanitizing, and taking a shower does not take away the horrible smell. Buyer beware.

The new incarnation of the ooze is not quite as decent as the nasty, gooey toys of my youth, as it's pretty watery in comparison. I still have some Ooze from the 2003 cartoon that is much better. However, it is pretty nice, and it squishes good in the hand. I haven't been dumb enough to get it on anything, so I don't know what cleanup is like, but you literally just have to wash your hands like a normal person to get the gunk off your hands. I ate a taco right afterward and had no problem.
