After using an off-brand patch, I bought these in a pinch so that I would not run out of patches. I thought maybe the Nicoderm brand might even be better but I was completely wrong. The patch is a great way to quit and I am finding it pretty easy to do so, but these patches are itchy, do not stick well, cost almost twice as much, and do NOT curb my cravings, etc., like the generic brand patches did. In fact, I do not think the dose stays in your system for the full 24 hours as it is supposed to. After about 18 hours I find myself dying to smoke and feeling agitated. I felt like I wanted to smoke from time to time on my previous brand, but was not agitated and desperate, as if I was having withdrawals. I am truly NOT a fan of this brand, nor of the overpriced cost. I am switching back to my original brand (Habitrol) tomorrow, which I would highly recommend: Nicotine Transdermal System Patch, Stop Smoking Aid, 21 mg, Step 1, 14 patches

Yes, these cost more, but they last 24/7. Amazon is the cheapest place that I have found to buy the CQ.
Nothing else ever worked for me till I got these. I found them to stay on good unless I went swimming..then I would put a piece of packing tape over it.
My hint for you to get through the first time is to set your alarm for early morning...like 2 or 3 am and have the patch ready to put on. Go back to sleep and it will help you get through the 1st day a little easier.
