Book Description

May 1, 2001
Since his Oscar-winning performance in Leaving Las Vegas, Nicholas Cage has become one of the most high-profile stars of contemporary cinema. Yet despite all the media attention, Cage remains one of Hollywood’s most inscrutable stars; in fact, his real life is as curious as some of the characters he plays. This new book follows the actor’s life and appraises his career, including his roles in cult movies like Raising Arizona and Wild at Heart, his oddball leading-man parts in films like Moonstruck, and his incarnation as action hero in Con Air and Face/Off. Complete with photos and a filmography, this is a must-read for Nicolas Cage’s many fans.

1.0 out of 5 stars Nothing new here, August 9, 2007
This review is from: Nicolas Cage: The Unauthorized Biography (Paperback)
Other than a very few of the pictures, there is nothing here that's not already known on the web and in the news. I can't seem to think of any redeeming characteristic. well... I mean, it's not full of mistakes or typos. It's not badly written. It's not unfriendly nor overly patronizing but just not a good read for this Nick Cage fan. I read a lot and I know what I like. Perhaps someone else would enjoy it. I may be too demanding.
