Anthony Blunt's Poussin study is extremely valuable for artists and art historians who are interested in a longer view of human achievement than some contemporary voices suggest is valid. The original Bollingen Series publication from the 1960's, with two volumes, one text (the important one) and one black and white plates, is beautifully laid out, a pleasure to read. But the 1997 Pallas Athene paperback, recently gone out of print, is also worth considering if you're interested in the subject.
