Interesting story, lousy sex,

This offers a fairly interesting story set in Paris in the French Revolution. It focuses on Nicole Chabrier and her relationship with a mysterious figure named Jacques. Over time other characters are brought into the story. Let me say that this book interested me enough that I read to the end. However, I'd say nearly all the sex scenes involve domination, humiliation and rape. To me these things are turn-offs. Also the writer's vocabulary in describing the sex scenes starts to feel rather repetitious. I suppose this is fairly common in erotica. This book is not recommended but also not without redeeming qualities. |
