Includes 2 Jars of Madagascar Bourbon Pure Vanilla Paste is made with our famous Madagascar Bourbon Pure Vanilla Extract with the addition of real seeds from the vanilla pod, combined in a slightly viscous base. It is used whenever the distinctive look of vanilla seeds is desired. Pure Vanilla Bean Paste is used measure for measure the same as Pure Vanilla Extract or to replace whole vanilla beams in recipes..

I use this in all my recipes where vanilla is a dominant flavor: caramel sauce, vanilla pudding, ice cream, butter cookies, you get the idea. In fact, this is what makes my caramel sauce extra special, and earned it the rating of "you want to eat it with a spoon instead of putting on your ice cream!" from my friend. I love this stuff. You use 1 tablespoon to equal one vanilla bean. The flavor is exactly the same from what I can tell, much finer flavor than vanilla extract. I can definitley tell the difference between pudding made with this and pudding made with normal extract. If a recipe calls for vanilla beans, buy this instead because it's much more economical.
However: If the recipe has other overpowering flavors (chocolate etc.), use regular extract, you won't want to waste this good stuff because you can't tell the difference.

Oh my goodness! I will never use vanilla extract again. Just opening the bottle of this vanilla bean paste releases an intense scent of vanilla
that fills the room and makes your mouth water. The vanilla seeds are very visable and the flavor intense.
The only problem I had is that the paste(really a syrup)is so thick, it's difficult to get off of the spoon. I'm going to try to remedy that by using one of those medication syringes that you can get for children.

Amazing
I love the little specks of vanilla bean that can be seen in this paste. I use it in anything that calls for vanilla. It is especially good in vanilla scones and cakes.
