I received this as a gift, and I personally thought it was great. Now that my baby is 8 months old and can express a preference for books, it is CLEAR this is one of her favorites....I don't know what it is about the graphics, or the cadence of the quotes, but Beatrice cracks up and touches the pictures and waves her hands around excitedly every time we read it...she particularly likes it when i point out the pictures and say what it is (baby with a mustache, star, unicorn, octopus etc...) she even has a favorite page that gets extra giggles (baby with the herd of cows)....if Bea is in a bad mood, this book is always a sure thing to turn it around. LOVE IT. Very creative and smart idea...

is Foucault 4 Babies next??!!

Nietzsche 4 Babies is a quick read but its true value lies
in the repeated readings that will undoubtedly be demanded by your
baby. Over time, these timeless lessons will strenghthen the bond
between you and your future philosopher. At the very least, you will
develop a clear overview of Nietzsche's thought and your baby will
love the pictures.

UPDATE 4/16/15: My son is now 1 & he LOVES this book! He cracks up laughing every time he reads it. He even grabs it and sits down to read it himself! I still wish it had a bit more substance, if baby loves it, I love it!

My husband and I have philosophy degrees so we were excited to get this book for our son! It's cute, but it's not as educational as I had hoped. It has random quotes and even more random pictures. The quotes aren't the best ones either. I guess I had different expectations, but I was hoping it was a simplified version of Nietzche's works for babies.
