From School Library Journal
Grade 1-3–These crafts are attractively designed and the directions easy to follow. Each spread describes a project such as a pet photo frame, fish bookmark, turtle crayon holder, animal treasure box, etc. Each activity begins with an introductory paragraph that gives some interesting facts about the featured creature. Materials lists are well compiled, and mostly call for common household items. Safety notes appear where appropriate. There are templates for some of the projects, most at 100 percent required size, and only one requiring a 10 percent enlargement. Although the projects are not extraordinary, they are easy for young children and accessible because of their simple materials. With its appealing theme, bright pages, and good photo illustrations, this is a serviceable addition to the crafts collection.–Lynda Ritterman, Atco Elementary School, NJ
