This review is from: Niger (Hardcover)
When I'd read this children's book, I felt I had a feeling for this largely unknown country. Beautiful photos throughout and chapters on the land and animals, the history and economy. The author also looks at the tribal groups, religion, culture and everyday life. It was interesting to learn a few words in the different languages, to read the national anthem, and to learn about the Wodaabe people where it's the men who put on make-up and the girls who pick their man!
