According to America's Most Wanted, the author of this book -- Abraham Mpaka is wanted for murder and is a scam artist himself.

News just broke that a tipster from Minnesota recognized Abraham Mpaka as strikingly resemblant of a boyfriend of someone she knew, and called in a tip to America's Most Wanted, who profiled Mpaka this past Saturday night. The author of this book will likely spend the rest of his life behind bars.
