My son is five and already an authority on Santa. We looked inside many books on The Night Before Christmas and he simply did not get into the pictures. Then we found this version illustrated by an artist who must have Santa in his heart. My son loves the full-page images of Santa and all the smaller images he calls "picture windows". He enjoys telling the story in his own words as he looks at each picture. I love the way the illustrations focus on evoking key sensations that add to the heart of the story. Thank you Mr. Tom Browning. You have made this story a treasure far beyond the words!

I was extremely SHOCKED to see no reviews on this BEAUTIFULLY ILLUSTRATED version of "THE Night Before Christmas".... A Treasure to pass down through the generations... HEIRLOOM QUALITY!!!! I'd ordered a copy for my grandson and was so impressed I had to order one for myself... I guess there are certain things we NEVER OUT-GROW!!!!

i bought this book for my daughter,long grown and married. she was delighted; it brought back happy memories for both of us. the coloring and the delightful pictures are unsurpassed. This is the most charming edition ever; everyone needs a copy, just to make a happy day, even in July.

I bought this book only seeing the cover, and had searched all over the web trying to find pictures from the inside. Other "Night Before Christmas" books on Amazon have a sneak peek of the inside, but this one did not. The other books were not quite the style I was looking for and I only bought it because of one review that said it was a beautifully illustrated book, that Santa must be part of the artist, and I would have to fully agree. The pictures look like paintings on canvas, with brush strokes visible, and there is a sense of magic to it. Definately not your typical illustrations in my opinion. This book will be cherished by our family for all of our years to come, and read every Christmas Eve.

I have bought many many many Night Before Christmas books looking for one that I considered a keep sake... none of them even came close until this book. This book is it! It is all that I have been looking for.

The illustrations are AMAZING, INCREDIBLE, and they speak Santa like nothing I have ever seen. The artists ability to encompass the spirit of Christmas with his paint strokes is riveting and makes me yearn for December every time I even glance at the book cover on my book shelf.

The way the book is pieced together is also done beautifully. Each page is not overcome with the story line as to shorten the total number of pages in the book. Each page has a short paragraph that is written large enough to read in a dim light room such as in front of a fireplace and also large enough so that it can be easily read from upside down (father reading it to his kids sitting below him on the floor)

This book made my Christmas knowing that this year when we do our family tradition of reading The Night Before Christmas it will be with a book that signifies the beauty of the story unlike any other we have ever read.

This book brings back so many memories for me, My wife wanted it to read to the kids on Christmas Eve as a tradition. It has beautiful artwork and it is a hardcover so it will last for years. Maybe passed down to our children when they get older and have kids of their own. I think everyone who loves Christmas should buy a copy.

The book is amazing! The pictures are beautiful! We bought it for our daughters first Christmas, and we could not be happier with this book! I am thinking about buying a few more as gifts!! :)

This is a beautiful book. I bought this book for my husband for our daughter's first Christmas. I was looking for the perfect book to start a Christmas Eve father-daughter tradition with. This book was exactly what I was looking for. The illustrations are wonderful. It will be a treasured tradition in our home.
