More About the Author

Natasha Wing was born in Milford, Connecticut and now lives in Fort Collins, Colorado. After graduating from Arizona State University she then worked in advertising for a number of years. It wasn't until 1991 that she decided to write children's books. Luckily she sold her first book within six months and has been writing children's books and articles ever since. Some books have even ended up on bestseller lists!

"I'm curious about many things- people, holidays, underdogs, little known historic figures - and translate my excitement for a topic into books for kids to enjoy. I mostly write picture books, but after 21 years, I'm also writing middle grade novels and easy reads. Cross your fingers they get published! Story ideas are popping into my head all the time, so you never know what my next book will be. But that's what's so fun about writing."

5.0 out of 5 stars Love the entire series December 27, 2012

We have gotten most of the books in the Twas the Night Before series since we randomly purchased the Twas the Night before First Grade. My daughter is now in 4th and she still loves to either read them or be read to. It's great that many of the holidays that don't have a lot of books based on them are covered.

5.0 out of 5 stars Cute ideas to honor Mom July 7, 2012
Format:Paperback
A cute variation of The Night Before Christmas. The night before Mother's Day, the kids and Dad get Mom out of the house so they can prepare their surprises for Mother's Day. All of the mom-surprises could be done by most kids -- make cards, bake a cake, write a special coupon for a "private spa session at home." For the spa day, Dad serves coffee and makes brunch, while the girls give Mom a shoulder and foot massage and paint Mom's nails. All done in a rhyme similar to The Night Before Christmas. Cheerful illustrations by Amy Wummer. Ages 4-8.
