Blues legend B.B. King has been spending time this year thinking about "The B.B. King That Was." There is his bricks, mortar and memory project down in a Mississippi blues crossroads, his very own B.B. King Museum, which acknowledges his past. And then, his new Geffen Records CD One Kind Favor which puts the blues maestro in competition, not with other players, but. himself. ... Read more in Amazon's B.B. King Store

5.0 out of 5 stars Ette James Steals the show! September 6, 2013
Format:MP3 Music|Verified Purchase
Great mix of blues masters singing classic blues songs. I have had allot of people tell me they hate "live" albums and on the most part I am not someone who is drawn to them, However the charm of all concerned in this album is multiplied by the subtle crowd interaction, especially when Etta is concerned. She absolutely steals the show with her powerful voice and presence. If you are a Etta fan, I recommend at least listening to "Blind Girl" duet with Papa John.

5.0 out of 5 stars Blistering blues it is! April 4, 2013
Format:Audio CD|Verified Purchase
I bought this as both cd and dvd after seeing a youtube video of one of the cuts. Though the band is a bunch of superstars, they work well together as a band, delivering a tight bunch of both tasty and heavy blues, and B.B. was inspired and played more and heavier than usual. Get it.

5.0 out of 5 stars GREAT November 7, 2012
Format:MP3 Music|Verified Purchase
This concert was a special on Cinemax in the 1980's. After many years we were able to find a VHS tape. Finally, the DVD came out. Excellent quality in audio and video for such an old concert. Great entertainers, many of which have now passed on, with fantastic songs at a great price. Amazon does it again! This concert DVD is a legacy to them all. I highly recommend this DVD for all blues fans.
