4.0 out of 5 stars Fast paced novel on a terror plot on American Soil, February 4, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: The Night Comer (Paperback)
This fast paced novel is written in the style of a cop who has been there, sharing a story about a case he may have worked as a cop in a very busy part of New York City in the post 9-11 world. Like his first novel, 625 8th Avenue, the story rings true, and the plot will grip you to the end. The author again writes in his unique writing style, that of a cop who has been there, and you feel that he is seated in front of you in person, over a cup of coffee, as he shares the details of a case he worked. I recently met Lt. Zeoli, and when I asked him about his writing style, he replied "I write books for cops". He writes like he speaks, from the heart, and it shows. Lt. Tony Zeoli, retired from the Post Authority of New York and New Jersey Police Department, was pressed back into service at ground zero initially to rescue, and then eventually recover the remains of those victims who were murdered in the 9-11 terror attacks at the World Trade Center. He doesn't capitalize on that, he brings us a story that reminds us that but for those that work to protect us here at home, terrorism may once again reach our shores.
