Becca has a really bad day; she gets fired because of budget cuts and comes home to find her boyfriend moving out. She can't find another job, she goes to her sisters’ apartment and while in the bathroom her sister submits her resume to a college in Oklahoma. Becca gets called for an interview and her sister decides that while there they need to go to a rodeo. At rodeo Becca meets Tuck, they have a one night stand and neither one of them can forget about it. Becca takes a job at the university and they meet again at a party being thrown for Becca. Becca and Tuck start a relationship that has to be kept secret since both of them work for the university and there is a no fraternization rule. They have to decide what they are willing to risk to be together and if their relationship is worth fighting for. Becca is pretty, smart and introverted, she loves her job and does not want to do anything to jeopardize it. Tuck is a mans man, he is in the army, rides bull and drives a truck. He wants to be with Becca but he doesn't want her to get fired. This book was sweet love story, it wasn't deeply emotional but it did have a nice interesting plotline. It showed a few things that some men are willing to sacrifice to keep a woman. Parts of the book were a bit disjointed and didn't really fit together; it seemed to jump around a little. Overall this was a nice quick read without a lot of drama, I liked the characters and plot line, and I want to know what happens with the other characters so I will be reading the next book in the series.
Becca wasn't going to apply for the position at OSU but Emma submitted her résumé without Becca's knowledge - so you can imagine her surprise when she receives a phone call regarding coming in for an interview. Of course, Emma's thrilled, especially when she discovers that there's a rodeo the night they arrive. Emma insists they have to go for the cultural aspect, but there's no denying that hot, sexy cowboys in their natural element is a huge draw. For Becca it's merely caving in to Emma's enthusiasm, but once she meets Tucker, well, there's something to be said for `getting back in the saddle.'
Tucker Jenkins has no qualms about getting on the back of a bucking bull but when it comes to women he's a little gun-shy thanks to his cheating ex. He's taken a hands off approach to women until he notices Becca in the stands. It's obvious that she's extremely out of place amongst the fans and buckle bunnies and that might just be part of the appeal. He assumes that she will be returning to the big city - and she believes he travels the rodeo circuit. They're both wrong and equally surprised when they come face to face at a faculty mixer.Read more ›
One Night with a Cowboy starts off hot and exciting. The chemistry between Becca and Tucker is sinfully sexy. The story had me completely until a certain thing happened. I didn't get the decisions the characters were making. I don't want to give anything away but the story just went downhill from that point and never recovered.

Becca and Tuck have both taken some nasty blows in the relationship department and after a sizzling first encounter have a scorching one night stand expecting never to see each other again. Little do they know the surprise encounter coming their way. I really loved both Tuck and Becca, though it took me a little longer to warm up to her. They're fun together and I just enjoy watching them get to know each other both in and out of the bedroom.
I really enjoyed One Night with a Cowboy. It moved quickly and kept me entertained. The secondary characters really caught my eye too and I'm looking forward to seeing more of them. If they're anywhere as entertaining as Tuck and Becca where while getting to know each other they'll be a damn good time.

Cat Johnson is a new author for me, she is a good story teller. This book is about a guy who is a cowboy and military man. He falls for a girl and struggles about love.Published 5 months ago by lori shirrel
Like a hallmark movie then turns to bedroom raunchy
Same effect could have been made with same sex situations done a little less raunch like wording
I have read a few of Cat Johnson books in the past but have recently started listening to the audio version's. The book itself was amazing, but the narrator was a very poor choice. Read morePublished 6 months ago by Hillery Battles
