While desperately fleeing from a loveless, abusive marriage, Jamie stumbles upon a secret facility operated by a clandestine group known only as "The Organization." The Organization, Jamie discovers, is a benevolent society dedicated to reclaiming an reforming antisocial individuals-especially the violently abusive-by kidnapping them in the dead of night, taking them to the facility and implanting computer chips in their brains that correct self-destructive and aggressive impulses. Jamie finds she must join the ranks of The Organization now that she has breached its security, but she does so willingly. After all, The Organization is devoted to the public good and the betterment of society.
