Product Description

The best-selling, award-winning toddler app comes to Android!

Inside a little bouncing barn, friendly farm animals are waiting to pop out and surprise your little one. Try and guess who they are; tap the doors to find out!

Work with your child to learn the names of animals--in twelve different language options--and hear the sounds they make! Younger children will love opening the barn doors to find a new animal animation, as they learn about cause and effect and become familiar with animal names and sounds. Older children will enjoy guessing animals by sound, then seeing the animal names, which helps develop early literacy skills. And everyone will adore the updated illustrations and animations featuring three new animals!

Peekaboo Barn was made for you and your toddler by artists and educators, not marketers, robots, or companies repackaging clip art. Enjoy!

1.0 out of 5 stars terrible, crashes on 1st animal every time October 29, 2012

unusable. no updates. I want my money back. this app on a friends iPad was great for little ones but is useless on my galaxy2. The app also crashes if you have multiple concurrent taps like would happen when a child is playing it.

***Update Amazon refunded my purchase but the app still doesn't work. Makes me sad because my 14 month old loves the intro song and looks so excited when the app starts then it crashes.

4.0 out of 5 stars New Version - Safe to Purchase for Kindle Fire HD March 23, 2013
Verified Purchase
After I wrote my previous review, I contacted someone at Night and Day Studios. Shortly thereafter, they rebuilt the app and have posted an update. This new app does not crash on my Kindle Fire HD anymore. YMMV, but it has been tested by my double-tap-crazy 22 month old twins.

As for the app itself, it's simple and straightforward and my twins love it.

Got this for my 20 month old son....he gets super excited when I turn the app on and it just crashes every time after the first animal emerges. Very disappointed.....don't buy it! Waste of money. It would be a great app if they fixed the of the few android apps for kids hat can compare to apple apps.

5.0 out of 5 stars Simple but entertaining August 16, 2012
This is one of the first apps that I got for my now 19 month old granddaughter, who has been using it since she was one year old. Now that she is older there are more advanced apps that compete for attention, but this app never fails to help calm her down or distract her if she is upset. Here is why we both like it.

1. I use this on an iPhone 4S and on an iPad 3. Unlike the leading negative reviewer, I have never had this app crash--not even once--or had any bugs with it.

2. This app is very easy for a small child to use. Just touch the screen and the barn doors open to reveal a cartoon drawing of an animal, who makes a sound. The name of the animal is announced and appears on the screen. Touch it again, and a different animal appears. At the very end all of the animals go to sleep, so this is a good app to use at bedtime.

3. The cartoon pictures and animal sounds are very entertaining. As your child gets older you may also want to use Sound Touch, which has professional quality pictures and digital recordings of sounds of not just animals, but many other things as well (I have reviewed it on Amazon).

4. This is a very good app to entertain a small child. A simple touch of the screen is all that is necessary to produce results, so there is no frustration.

Bottom line: This is one of the basic apps that I recommend for small children. It has provided countless hours of entertainment to my granddaughter.

1.0 out of 5 stars It works great for an adult... June 12, 2013
Verified Purchase
It works great if you are an adult and click on it slowly with one finger. Children don't do this...they get excited and click multiple times or with two fingers. The minute my child uses two fingers it crashes. Very frustrating...especially when he starts crying because it won't work. Please let me know when you fix this!

1.0 out of 5 stars So disappointed April 22, 2013

My son loves this app...but only on grandma's iPad. When I try to play it on my kindle it crashes every time. I purchased it through Amazon a few weeks ago and wish I could get my money back. It's a great game, but doesn't work.

1.0 out of 5 stars crashes constantly March 27, 2013

Wish I had read other reviews before buying this app. It is worthless, as anytime my 17 month old touches the screen in any place other than exactly where intended to progress the game, it crashes.
