Don't you hate it when a perfectly innocent fossil hunt turns into ... a night in the dinosaur graveyard? This prehistoric adventure story with 10 spooky holograms of dinosaur ghosts is almost guaranteed to fascinate Tyrannosaurus-loving tykes.

The suspense kicks in as soon as Max, Lucy, Professor Sponge (their grandfather), and Soap (the dog) embark on their adventure; "He [Soap] had found a bone--the biggest bone the professor had ever seen. It gave off a strange light." The first night, the intrepid trio camps in a dark, cold cave. Nice choice. Is it any wonder that "The dinosaur ghosts floated above and behind them, glowing and groaning horribly"? They run for their lives and soon begin to rue the day they ever picked up that oddly luminous bone. (Ages 5 to 8)

Arielle (5 years old) has owned this book for two days, has had it read to her umpteen times, memorized it, and had it read to all her friends--who stopped transfixed in a kid's pool to listen. I have run out of fingers, and subsequently lost count of just how many times umpteen is. Since you'll be reading it a lot, you'll be glad to know if you are a parent, that A Night in the Dinosaur Graveyard is an adult friendly book (Sesame Street vs. Nickolodean's Blues Clues if you get my drift.) If a book wins out over cool pool water in the Louisiana summer heat--you know you have a winner

When picking out a book to read at night, this book seems to come up more often than any other. My six-year-old stepson and I have probably read this book over 150 times in the past 2 years, and he never gets tired of it. It's fun to read for me and he loves the holograms. I would definitely recommend this book for any child interested in dinosaurs.

My son received this book when he was 4. He is 8 and I still read it to him. This book will be one I keep but only because it is so horrible. The first time I read it, I was so shocked with how horrible it was I started making fun of it. My son that it was so funny, he still wants me to read it. The main character is a professor named Sponge. His dog is Soap. He has two children with him. He decides to spend the night in a dark cold cave, because that is the best place to sleep... right? The picture shows two frightened kids with a sleeping adult. Later in the book, the professor exclaimed "It's hopeless. There is no escape!" and the dog rescues them. They discover that there is a T-Rex ghost who is trapped and they can give back a bone they found to save it. This book is so bad, it will be kept in our family for a very long time.
