5.0 out of 5 stars Way To Go!!!, June 3, 2006
This review is from: Night Eyes (Paperback)
I could not put this book down! Mr. Hamner is a really good
author and has a great gift for story-telling.I think he compares favorably to Cussler, Harstad, Deaver,
and others. I will certainly buy his future books.

5.0 out of 5 stars Review by an editor, January 8, 2002

This review is from: Night Eyes (Paperback)
Mr. Hamner's writing style hits you right between the eyes when you realize you've been yanked straight into his story as if you were really there. He's ruthless with his reader - never letting go to the very end. A very exciting end, at that.

Jack Stone, the main character and cop in this book, has easily joined company with the heros and legends of the most infamous authors today...Patterson, Cussler, Ludlum...just to name a few with whom he compares.

Night Eyes is laced with the intrigue and drama of a true story-which leaves the reader to wonder, is it? And then same reader must put the book down long enough to go check all the locks on their own doors, just in case it is.

The plot races, and Mr. Hamner has done a delightful job in making me want the next book so badly, I can't believe it's not in print yet!

Very nicely done, Mr. Hamner - a true fan here.

5.0 out of 5 stars you cannot tell them from others, December 20, 2001
By A Customer
This review is from: Night Eyes (Paperback)
I have been a Dallas Police Officer for over 30 years. Bill brings to the surface what police officers all over the world know, there are people like the bad guy in the book. You cannot tell them from others. They are out there. During the interrogation of the suspect and the right button has been pushed, the suspect can be pushed over the edge and will react as the bad guy did in this book. This book is a must read for all mystery fans. I was not able to put the book down.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great police thriller, September 18, 2001

This review is from: Night Eyes (Paperback)
I felt as if I were looking over Jack Stone's shoulder every step of the way. Learned police proceedures also. Very realistic book. Hope it's fiction? I'd hate to think serial killers pass by us every day, and we can't detect them.
