4.0 out of 5 stars Great - incorporate into the U1-3 'saltmarsh' series, July 24, 2001
By
This review is from: Night of the Shark (AD&D Fantasy Roleplaying, Monstrous Arcana Series) (Paperback)
I picked up a copy of this late and was not able to get hold of the first or last modules in this 3-part series. With a small amount of tinkering and imagination it makes a fantastic conclusion to the U1-3 saltmarsh series. After the PC's have successfully mapped the Sahuagin lair in U3, start this module. The PC's ship is sunk by vengeful Sahuagin and they left for dead. But a ghostly ship with a strange secret and grizzly cargo turns up at the last minute to save the day... Maybe. P.S. Modules U1-3 were available free from the TSR web site and a with bit of hunting around on the net you can get them for free.

4.0 out of 5 stars Best of the series, October 28, 1998
By A Customer
This review is from: Night of the Shark (AD&D Fantasy Roleplaying, Monstrous Arcana Series) (Paperback)
This is the most fun of the series. Unfortunately, it makes no sense on it's own. The climax takes place underwater so the party may be dismayed at being at such a disadvantage. Seemed kind of short but very exciting. Makes a great two-parter with Evil Tide.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good Middle Adventure, August 26, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Night of the Shark (AD&D Fantasy Roleplaying, Monstrous Arcana Series) (Paperback)
I wouldn't have written anything about this pretty-good middleadventure, but for the venemous (and outright misinformation) from the"reader from Tennessee." All I can say is that Mr. Cordell must have somehow made this person mad in order to elicit such outright attacks. I say that because this adventure has a really great section on a ghost ship, complete with detailed and well-drawn deck plans. In fact, I've never seen a better ship rendering in an adventure game. The set-up is greusomely frightening, and sure to get the attention of players. The second portion of the adventure, which takes place in an aquatic sea-mount, allows the heroes to find and deal with the creature responsible for the ghost-ship's current dreary state. A fun aquatic monster hunt.
