A Half-Decent Attempt To Immerse Yourself Into The Scenes!, January 20, 2009
This review is from: The Night Flier (1997 Film) (Audio CD)
When I first heard this soundtrack, I thought "hmmm...well..nothing special". But after a few more listenings I got a warmer & more pleasant feeling about how it's trying to captivate you and immerse you into the scenes where the music took place.
The title track is one of the best tunes on the disc followed by 'Naming Dwight', 'Show me your face' and 'The Terminal (which is a very creepy tune). There are a few more tunes that are memorable and quite good, but all in all this soundtrack doesn't really captivate my feelings about the film throughout. Sure, nothing is missing in terms of the music, but It doens't do as much for me as say 'Cujo' or 'The Hitcher' (which really makes you think you are IN the film as you listen).
Have a listen before making your mind up, but as a serious collector, buy it, as I'm sure it's going to be a very rare piece sometime in the future.
