Atrocious, appalling release! A complete rip-off!!! Do not buy it!, January 18, 2009
What a shame that this good film has been ruined on this DVD, released by a dismal Dutch company (Dutch Filmworks)! I just bought it from an amazon seller and am immediately in the process of getting a refund. Firstly, the film has been edited in at least five places. The running time is said here, and on the back cover to be 98 minutes but is actually less than 96 minutes, with over 2 minutes of footage missing! The picture is slightly below average DVD quality but that would not have been an issue for me if the film had not been butchered by that stupid Dutch label. Every good part of the film has been removed and thus all enjoyment of the film lost with this DVD. If you have bought a copy, get your money back! You are entitled to under worldwide consumer law.

One of My All Time Favorites, September 10, 2004
Cindy Pickett does a great job as Valerie, in this serious love story of sorts. She is a woman who has been raped in her youth and is still trying to overcome the trauma of the rape. She is seeking a normal life with her husband and finds it useless to attend therapy. So along comes Sean Daniels, a Welsh man, with some imaginative, erotic ideas of his own. Sean Daniels(Paul Jenkins), accent alone will arouse many a woman.
Through a combination of the gentle love, kindness, and her imagination, she resolves the dilemma. I find that this movie appeals to the romantic men and women of the world. The beauty of the bodies (both men and women) and the costumes are very arousing. I liked this movie because it proves some men do prefer small breasts, contrary to popular belief. I rate this movie a 10 out of 10 stars. I own it on VHS and have watched it at least 20 times since I first saw it in 1980 at the drive in theater.

but seriously, October 17, 2008
I'll be honest - I only got this because it has Joanna Cassidy's greatest nude scene. Vadim, a very voyeuristic director, is content to sit the camera in front of her bare butt and just leave it there. Fine by me. More engaging than the entirety of Alexander. If the product description sounds a bit bizarre, the movie is more so. Actually, more like a fever dream than an erotic thriller. A plot summary of a senseless movie is senseless so I'll just say: Joanna, good work!
