Well, here it is, and it's well worth a few bucks.

The narrator has a creepy, deep voice who is your tour guide through the freaky wonders of the haunted house and the graveyard.

It brought back alot of great Halloween memories and I'll be using it for the trick or treaters.

This album will take you on a strange and fearsome journey through a graveyard and then a haunted house in a world of spirits full of twisted turns, where nothing is where you'd ever expect. The narrator seems to be the only person you can trust. Actually, he's the only "person" in the album.

The narrator has a creepy, deep voice who is your tour guide through the freaky wonders of the haunted house and the graveyard. He's not Vincent Price, in fact, he's as creepy as Price. The awesome sound effects on this cd are the best you could have for halloween-like times. You never know what's going to happen next. I have had this cd for 2 years, and have loved it ever since. If you do get it, you are "guided" through the following:
In "The Graveyard", You will discover:
1. A gathering storm
2. a vampire mausoleum
3. a witches' coven
4. Procession of the undead
5. Dangerous bridge {with some guy in the background in the rain yelling, "Don't cross the bridge!!" about 5 times} on the way to the haunted house.
Here, the narrator explains about the house and you enter.

Here, you'll discover:

1. A mad, cackling organist
2. A gallery, AKA the chamber of horrors
3. Bats in the belfry
3. {part 2} A snakepit
4. A laboratory
5. the haunted ballroom
6. the dungeons
7. the hounds of hell
8. The room of eternal silence
9. Long fuse and dynamite

The album ends there.

And there are other unknown dangers where you and the narrator experience all kinds of freaky things, and it seems like you really ARE being guided through a haunted house/graveyard, so I'm warning you, DO expect the unexpected. You can find this, or cds like it in any store that has halloween merchandise, because it's excellent to listen to on or around halloween...especially at night for an extra thrill. Highly, highly recomended. Be careful where you dread!

A Night in a Haunted House and a Night in a Graveyard is by far one of my very favorite Haunt cds. Originally on a black casette tape purchased at a grocery store sometime between my age of 5 to 8. I held onto the tape for years and until I reached my teens, I realized the tape was going to get old..or eaten and I would have no replacment. I searched and searched and only found one at auction for cheap. Until I found there are used copies here at amazon which is pretty cool.

Anyway, the narration is very good! The speakers voice is deep and creepy as he leads you through various the haunted house. He takes you into each room, a mad organist, chamber of horros, Bats in the belfry, laborator, the haunted ballroom, snakepit, the dungeons, the hounds of hell, the room of eternal silence..better get the heck out with a long fuse and dynamite. Each scene is different, different sound effects and each scene is not like eachother - which is what makes this haunt cd so great. It's def not for the kiddies, as some children have ran away from the house because of the screaming. If you happen to pick up a copy, it's def a classic gem.

...for me. It's not that there are 101 screams, but in a couple places, a woman screams over and over, and it sounds like the same scream track. More annoying than scary. Just a very minor gripe there.

Other than that, this is a fantastic buy and well worth it if you can find it. Wonderful narration -- a cross between Vincent Price and Boris Karloff. And if you like to go overboard with sound effects for trick-or-treaters as they approach your house, this is a *perfect* CD to have on a loop.

After reading the reviews on this cd, I decided to buy it. They are not joking, this cd is the scariest halloween cd I have ever heard! I was sitting in my living room listening to it and was looking over my shoulder making sure I wasn't actually in the house or the graveyard! The narrator's voice is so deep, creepy and chilling and the sound effects are so real that you don't dare close your eyes because you don't know what's going to be there when you open them again. I'm very pleased with this cd and how it was shiped to me. I ordered it with standard shipping(4-6 business days) and recieved it THE DAY AFTER I ORDERED IT! If anyone else is thinking of ordering this cd, absolutely do it. It is well worth it the scare and the shipper is wonderful.

I am so glad there are creative people out there who make things like this. There are some standouts in this collection like The Mausoleum. The sound effects are so 3D like you feel like you are the traveler in some of these tales. They literally put you in the place of storytelling. This CD reminds me of the storytelling process of Walt Disney's CHILLING THRILLING SOUNDS OF THE HAUNTED HOUSE back in the 60's where the narrator set up the story and allowed the sound effects to tell, plus conclude the eerie story. Great stuff, and a must have for all halloween soundtrack buffs. Get your stereo, boombox, or house speakers tuned up!

I bought this cd of horror sounds after listening to it years back. It brought back alot of great Halloween memories and I'll be using it for the trick or treaters. It's probably the spookiest cd that contains horror sounds and screams for your buck. I recommend it alot!
