This is one of those forgotten films that truly needs put on dvd. James Brolin plays an ex-cop who is raising his daughter by himself and is barely getting by. His daughter goes to school one day and is mistaken for the daughter of a wealthy family and is kidnapped by a psycho for ransom. Brolin does an excellent job portraying the distraught father who does everything in his power to find his daughter. Great chase scenes! You can really feel his despair as he searches for her through about all areas of the city (New York I believe)including the red light district, the projects, the subway...! Truly an outstanding film that will keep your interest through til the end!

Fresh off his hit with THE AMITYVILLE HORROR James Brolin stars in this gritty NYC thriller about an ex-cop who's daughter is kidnapped right in front of him and now nothing in the world is going to stop him for saving his daughter and kickin this dude's [...]!

The action starts off early with a great car chase then a whole bunch of foot chases through a seedy, porno district; Central Park; the sewers; some bombed out area that looks like a nuclear bomb went off recently; a dog pound and all over the city. To compound matters Brolin runs across a cop who hates his guts so much he whips out a shotgun and just starts blasting away right in the middle of the street!!! It's crazy. The ending is a little too slow for me, but if you can find a copy it's worth a watch.

Brolin and his amazing hair is great. The impressive cinematography is by Victor J. Kemper who also did DOG DAY AFTERNOON, PEE-WEE'S BIG ADVENTURE and XANADU!
