4.0 out of 5 stars Solid EP from an underrated group.
This EP is a good one. From start to finish it's very interesting musically asnd the rappers are all talented (Pace Won and Young Zee stand out). This album contains the track Rush Ya Clique featuring an excellent verse from, then unknown, Eminem. I'd recommend it to any fans of Eminem's early work. Overall, this EP is worth getting and a welcome addition to any rap...

3.0 out of 5 stars OUTSIDAZ
FOR THE PRICE AND SOUND THE CD IS PRICED GREAT, SOME SONGS ARE LACKING THOUGH. RAH DIGGA'S TRACK IS HORRIBLE, EMINEMS VERSE COULD USE SOME WORK. THE BEATS MAKE UP FOR THE LACK OF EFFORT ON THE GUEST RAPPERS PARTS. IN MY OPINION THE MAIN RAPPERS ON THIS CD RESEMBLE THE ARTIFACTS BUT MORE UPDATED.THE SHINING STAR ON THE CD IS ZEE, HIS FLOW REMINDS ME OF REDMAN (WHICH...

4.0 out of 5 stars A great debut!!, April 20, 2004
This review is from: Night Life (Audio CD)
Very, very promissing i would call this album. It has some good beats on it as well as nice lyrics and an easy on the ear flow. I would say that this cd is worth every penny and it's a very nice addition to your hiphop collection.

4.0 out of 5 stars Outz' First Outing, August 17, 2009
This review is from: Night Life (Audio CD)
This EP was absolutely dope. After hearing the 3 most prominent members on the Fugees 'The Score' I stayed checking for this group. Their solo singles were all dope and this EP is a proper representative of what a group of emcees can do when they put their minds together. Because it is an EP, the length is the only issue I have with the album. The production is handled mostly in-house and they have a joint from Ski (of Roc-a-blok) one of the most consistentley dope, yet unknown producers ever. Humor, hood life and off the wall references make-up the Outsidaz lyrical pallet. They each provide their own personal style and voice (though Young Zee and Pace Won seem the most stand out) each member adds an element that the other doesn't. This type of lyrical and style mastery make for an excellent posse album. They don't take themselves too seriously, even though they give some references to serious life conditions. "Night Life" has some pretty cool beats and the original flows on each beat showcase their musical superiority. What upsets me is this CD (and the Lyricist Lounge tour) didn't propel them into (at least) Mos Def and Talib notoriety. All around, Outsidaz 'Night Life' is a great listen from front to back for those who like semi-experimental East Coast Hip Hop. The only song that slows down the EP's raw vibe is "Rush Ya Clique", its not neccesarily a wack song, but in comparison with its six counterparts, its highly skippable.

4.0 out of 5 stars NEW JERSEY, September 11, 2005
This review is from: Night Life (Audio CD)
i find it funny when someone (deus ex mecca) comes to review a cd and acts all high and mighty like they know more than you about hip hop..talking all that stuff about eminem and bizzare. that makes you cool, i guess...

but what makes this person completely ignorant and stupid is when they say this cd comes "straight outta detroit" thinking they are the ultimate all knowing eminem fan (as if hes anything special, ha)

give me a break. the outz are a crew from newark, new jersey headed by pace won and young zee.

the only two "members" from detroit are eminem and bizzare, who are in fact only honorary members and this is the only outsidaz release they appear on

dont buy this thinking its an old eminem cd, you will be dissappointed. his verses are sub par for his standards

buy this because its dope hip hop straight from THE BRICKS

New Jeruz

4.0 out of 5 stars Underground hip hop at its best, February 19, 2000
This review is from: Night Life (Audio CD)
I first heard these guys with Eminem last summer. Pace Won is genious, the beats are catchy but the lyrics are the hard edge material you'd expect. Songs 1 and 2 are tight, Rah Digga's song is probably the only stupid track. Em flows nicely on #4. For the price you'd be stupid not to buy this, providing you like solid underground rap.
