Sandra Boynton is a popular American humorist, songwriter, children's author and illustrator. This has been one of my 19-month-old son's favorites books. It is a staple of his bedtime stories. He seems to like Pookie's independence (picking his PJ's, hiding from his Mommy), and I like that it still reinforces a "fun" bedtime routine. He likes saying Pookie's lines in the book too.

Our 22-month-old grandson loves this book (actually, he likes most books, but he is enthralled by this). He and Daddy think it is great for all day reading, not just bedtime.
