One of the best albums 2008/2009,

There have been some fairly mixed reviews on this album. It was released in Australia in 2008 and is due for re-release with different album art and two more tracks in 2009 for the US.
I personaly rate it as one of my top 3 albums of 2008 and listened to it almost as much as Kings Of Leons incredibly good new album. There are really interesting shifts in the albums with the lead singer channeling different periods in time through the album. Some of the lyrics are outstanding empathetic story tellings without being sappy. Great Australian act with a great album, check it out. Their second album Skeleton Jar is also incredibly good with a slightly rawer sound.

Youth Group continues their 80s pop-insipired modern rock on their latest album, wich may be their last ever, since they're on hiatus. The thing is this: They've done this before, on their second album (Casino Twilight Dogs), and they did it bether on that one. It sounds ok, the melodies are nice, and the vocalists voice is as good as ever, but it kind of stops there. That is kind of sad, since they have a knack of writing realy good popsongs. It's just not enough

Youth Group - The Night Is Ours,

Great cd. Have always been a fan of this band and this album delivers like all the others. "In My Dreams" and "One for Another" are a couple of my favorites.
