5.0 out of 5 stars Dani Klein - Amazing voice and distinctive style
I would recommend this album to anyone and guarantee that you will like it. I would give this as a gift to anyone that I love. She is so great. Also make sure you get the first album called "Vaya Con Dios" and the third one called "Time Flies". They are all great. If money is a problem, get the "Best of" although it doesn't have some great...

3.0 out of 5 stars TORCH SONG TRIUMPH
Second album from this Belgian combo who are into stylish eclecticism. A compilation of 12 acoustically arranged songs, the album sports a potpourri of musical styles with no filler tracks. There's Stax soul in What's A Woman, a touch of jazz in Travelling light, and a smattering of Piaf in the French chanson Quand Elle Rit ... As interpreters, the band successfully...

I agree with the other two reviewers. I loved Dani Klein's voice. I would like to buy all her other albums. She is now in Purple Prose. She really deserves the name superstar.

5.0 out of 5 stars So good - you can't imagine!, March 4, 1999

This album is one of Vaya Con Dios' superb albums! It combines rock with jazz and Dani Klein's voice is simply amazing. Once you have this album you will certainly want the other 3. But start with this one. It will capture you with its music, lyrics, voice, and performace. Dani Klein is supported by two female backing vocals and the result is hard to explain!!! Try it, you'll love it!

As interpreters, the band successfully employ influences as varied as South American rhythms, Otis Redding, Aretha Franklin and even the Stray Cats. Lead singer Dani Klein's distinctive voice is the main attraction.

5.0 out of 5 stars it will never be the same, November 8, 2003

May 24 1991,Dirk Schoufs, composer and double bass player of the duo "Vaya con Dios" left this world for a better place and then the music was never half as good.
Vaya con dios was dead but fortunatly this CD and the previous one are still here to bring us joy.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best "Unknown" release ever, August 19, 2009
This review is from: Night Owls (Audio CD)
If you are looking for something a little different, definitely off the beaten path, this CD is a great way to start. Since Vaya Con Dios is European, many in the US have never had the opportunity to experience their unexpectedly uplifting, and yet completely captivating style of jazz/blues swing. Salted liberally with smokin' horns, Dani Klein's uniquely talented vocals, and great material, this CD flat rocks, and brings with it a very satisfying taste of something at least once removed from the usual musical fare found on radio these days...sample the cut title cut "Night Owls" if you like your swing a little on the hard side, or "What's A Woman" for a real lowdown wailin' blues lament. Like the old commerical used to say "Try it - you'll like it!". Highly recommended.
