Beautiful Family Prayerbook,

My family has young children, and I've often wanted to introduce them to the Liturgy of the Hours. We have attempted a number of times to pray either parts of Evening Prayer or Night Prayer with them, but often ended the practice in frustration as the children could not follow the standard "Christian Prayer" book.
However, we purchased this book, and now Night Prayer is a daily occurrence in our family. The layout is very clean and easy to follow. There is no flipping pages, or remembering antiphons from earlier. One can simply read through the night's prayer from start to finish. My seven-year-old especially has become more engaged during Night Prayer as she knows exactly where we are at all times. I recommend this to any family wishing to begin the practice of Night Prayer in their home. |
