Night Recordings From Bali is the essential recording of Balinese chants and culture. While there are many Gamelan & Kecak albums on the market, Night Recordings From Bali focuses on more obscure folk songs and chants such as the "Cremation Procession" and "Monkey Forest Night," as well as a rehearsal. Also since most of these were obviously recorded at night, the eerie atmosphere of the forest is present. While the quality is not as good as some other DAT recordings, the quality is still above average and does not take away from the experience.

Bali is known as "Land Of The Gods" and you can hear that deep-rooted spirituality seeping through the night in these recordings. This CD is a piece of art!
