Book Description

June 1, 2001
While flying home to visit family in Guyana, Dr. Alana Britton found herself fascinated by handsome Damian Collins. Then, an unscheduled layover gave them hours together on the sultry island of Trinidad. Certain Damian's passionate love was just a fleeting romantic interlude, Alana told him an unforgivable lie--and that became a web of deception she could not escape, even when she wanted him forever.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Book! Go Out And Get It!, February 3, 1998
By A Customer
Night To Remember is one of the best books I have read in a long time. The story is well paced! The characters are engaging and likeable. No one dimensionalism here. They are all three dimensional, and well developed. I agree with the other reader. If too much were known of Damian Collins the story would not have been such a page turner. Because I didn't know too much about him it kept me guessing until the very end. I think the Trinidadian scenes were priceless! I've travelled thru Piarco Airport many many times, and I can tell you honestly, that whenever there's a problem with a flight, some of the situations described in the book do often occur. I also think that alot of stuff about Damian was implied. I think maybe this was deliberately done. I think the reader learned just enough about Damian to make him interesting! I also have read many Arabesque novels, and this one for me, rates in the top 10! Her use of language is just superb! Don't read this book if you expect it to be about Ghetto life. It is definitely not that sort of book at all. I loved it! I think Ms Stanhope is a great writer in the making.

5.0 out of 5 stars A definite page turner!!! You won't be able to put it down!, January 17, 1998

Night To Remember by Niqui Stanhope is a "must read"!!!! It's a wonderfully funny/romantic story of two people thrown together while travelling in the Caribbean. Anyone who's ever travelled, and maybe been stranded at an airport will be able to relate to some of the very humorous situations that both characters find themselves in. In addition to some really funny stuff, Night To Remember is peppered with passion, culture and intrigue. I rate Night To Remember a solid 10!!! A lovely book. I recommend it very highly!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Good Stuff! Read it once, then read it again!, February 2, 1998
By A Customer
I really enjoyed Night To Remember! It took me away from my hum drum everyday existence. I liked the detail, the warmth, and the humor. I felt that in order for the story to work, Damian had to remain a man of mystery. If too much had been known of him, the story would not have worked as well as it did. And belive me it did work!!! It kept me turning those pages. I stayed up late to find out what was going to happen next. Alana was a delightful creation. You can't find too many young ladies these days with her moral fibre. I gave it a 9 and not a 10 only because I never give anything a perfect 10!
