5.0 out of 5 stars Great for a smooth bed time routine June 22, 2012

This chart is great tool to use to have a consistent bed time routine. If you have a little one that likes to get out of bed this will help with that as well. My 4 year old loved being able to put stickers on when he was quiet at bed time and didn't get out of bed. A good bed time routine makes for a wonderful night of sleep for the entire family. If we have trouble we just pull out the chart for a couple of weeks to get back on track. I love that it has the exact things on it that we do every night.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good learning tool but... December 12, 2012
Verified Purchase
When we received this chart my son and I were really excited to start using it. He would help me put the stars on every night and (not very often) the smiley faces. I had two major issues with this chart.

1. The stickers lose their adhesiveness after a few weeks. They do provide an extra set of stars and smiley faces. Maybe a static cling decal would have been a better option.
2. There are only 5 days on the chart. It's a small complaint, but it's easier to set a weekly reward if the chart were 7 days.

The actual goals were exactly what I was looking for but my son and I just discuss at bed time how he did the night before and have foregone the sticker portion.

4.0 out of 5 stars Worked like a charm - if youre into bribery April 4, 2014

My 3 year old is now sleeping in her bed after using this chart for 2 weeks. we are still working on the falling asleep by herself, however it will come. This will only work if you use a reward system.

The only thing i would change is to have 7 days and to have a space for your own activites, i.e. prayer, shower, tiddy up, or whatever you do at your own home.

2.0 out of 5 stars Make your own: This is Overpriced and Non-reusable March 16, 2014
Verified Purchase
I purchased this with the same hopes that many other parents have expressed, and maybe for reasons why you're considering this purchase: I wanted to entice my child to follow some bedtime procedures and reward the progress. This chart accomplishes some of that, though mildly.

First off, the categories that are represented may not be applicable to your child. Mine did not need help with "I've had a small bedtime drink," or "I've read a book." And the ones, "I stayed in my bed all night" and "I stayed in my bed until it was time to get up" seemed to be redundant. Considering there are only 9 categories, we've already lost some usefulness for this item.

Second, the claim that these stickers are reusable is a sham. If they were, why is the company offering more sheets of them? They may stick a couple times but these won't work for any extended use.

Third, the five-day-week is sort of ridiculous. Do you think these procedures should only be adhered to on weekdays? Splitting weeks up into 5-day segments gets just confusing. It should be 7-days, simply put.

Fourth, the graphics are terrible. For this price I want professional illustrations, not some goofy, poorly drawn pictures. Yes, this may be an aesthetic issue, but for $15 this chart should blow me away.

In the end I took a chance with this thing and felt it wasn't worth it. They are making a killing on it: it's a laminated piece of paper that we're paying $15 for! It's not like there's a lot of R&D that goes into this. I was a sucker just like the rest of you, hoping that this would solve some issues and the $15 was a price I was willing to pay for that dream.

Instead, I would just make my own chart and buy some stickers.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great! December 14, 2012

Thank you so much for this chart! My 3 yr old brushes his teeth every night. When the stars and smiles are completed we go out and buy a book or a toy for him. He loves putting the stickers on. I love how we put the stars on at night and then the smiles in the morning. This is the best chart. Def buy this!! The stickers restick too so you can use them over and over.

4.0 out of 5 stars This reward chart is great. June 2, 2014
This chart is great. It's simple enough, but at the same time the stickers are bright and colorful so it created excitement right away from our little girl. I love that the stickers are reusable! We use other reward charts for different things, like extra reading, but they are a one-time use style chart. Total waste of paper and money, and as a Mom trying to only use eco-friendly products it goes against the grain. So the reusablity factor in this product is a huge plus for me. Also, the process for getting our little one back in her own bed trouble-free may take awhile, and it's nice to be able to start over each week using the same chart.

The process of using this reward chart is pretty easy, and the chart chart comes with some great tips. Before we began using the chart we talked about what the chart was for, and the items on the chart that we would focusing on. Getting ready for bed is a breeze for us, so the chart is a positive thing for my little one as we are getting into bed each night after she gets all her stickers. In the morning we give our little ones the stickers to put on her chart after she wakes up - which she really looks forward to - and we talk about each item and why she isn't getting stickers for some of the items. We "make a plan" as to how we can do a little better each night. We have a ways to go for getting all of our morning stickers, but now that we are just getting serious I think this chart is really beneficial. My little one loves every aspect of this chart. And so far, so do I. If you are looking for a sleep chart I highly recommend this reward chart from the Victoria Chart Company.
