Well, after one month on our Night Therapy Elite 13" MyGel® Prestige Memory Foam Mattress, I can say with absolute certainty that this is the best mattress we’ve ever owned. My wife and I are side sleepers. We’ve both had very sore shoulders from our spring mattress and desperately needed relief. We are both in our fifties and have arthritis. My wife has constant hot flashes too. I am a worst case scenario when it comes to sleep. Or I should say “a lack of”. I’ve been on permanent disability for years now, with a bad back, wrists and knees. And head and neck problems too. And I have MS, with a severe case of restless leg syndrome, cramping, body aches and pains. In general, just a bunch of symptoms that have kept me from getting more then about 1/2 to 2 hours of sleep a night for over ten years now. We have always had traditional spring mattresses and know that’s been a big part of our sleep issues and increased pain levels.
Now, in comes the Night Therapy Elite 13" MyGel® Prestige Memory Foam Mattress. This thing is so comfortable that I got 6 hours of sleep the first night. For me, that’s incredible! And it seems to keep improving. It’s the most relief I’ve had in years. It’s a plush mattress, yet, lying down, you don’t sink into it as you might expect. And due to the types of foam they use, it is not hot like other memory foam mattresses. My son has a cheap 2 layer memory foam mattress and does nothing but complain about the heat. Not with this one. My wife absolutely loves it! Her hot flashes seem less severe than before. And, our sore shoulders, GONE!!! Best investment we’ve made in years. It seems to be well made, with quality materials. I suggest a good waterproof cover for it. You’ll want to protect this baby. I’d give it a ten star rating, if they had one.

I was going to wait a few months to write a review so maybe I will later on if anything changes but for now...here are the goods...

I have 12 herniated discs, a few bulging, degenerative disc disease, mild scoliosis, rheumatoid arthritis, severe knee and shoulder and hip pains and circulation issues which cause added pains in my legs etc...and I am only 36...I am also 5'10 and weigh in at 205lbs. So...if you can relate this is who is writing this review...

Based on my issues I have not been able to sleep without waking up a million times in a bed for more than 20 years...I did not know what to do...I slept on couches or roamed the house like a ghost in the middle of the night...

Then I discovered memory foam beds and my life changed dramatically! For the first time ever I was able to sleep in a bed!!! Almost a whole night! But...I still did not find that perfect bed with a blend of the "giving" softness I needed (hour glass figures cannot sleep on their side with a HARD FIRM bed) underlined by the firm support underneath that which I also need so that it supports my back and keeps me aligned properly while sleeping...

When I got this bed...I was a little worried because it felt TOO soft and giving when I pressed down on it with my fist...BUT then I lay down on it...and THAT is where the AWESOMENESS kicked in! I felt it give where it needed to give but support me at the same time...I was not sinking into it, my curves were cradled and at the same time supported...a feeling that I can only imagine would be what poets would call "sleeping on a cloud" ...make that cloud9!

Listen if you need that HARD mattress don't buy this one...but if you are a woman or have a wife that knows what I'm talking about...especiallly a side sleeper, you will adore this bed! I most certainly do!

Disclaimer: If you buy it because of my review and don't like it (which I cannot imagine since I was specific WHO might love this bed) I would be shocked but apologize in advance. ;o)

I wanted to leave my thoughts on this mattress since (even for "discount mattresses" like this) these purchases are probably the most expensive and important purchase internet shoppers will make without being able to actually check it out first in stores. After carefully reading a lot of reviews on comparable mattresses in this price range, I pretty much went on blind faith and honestly a catchy name. Reviews are all over the place for memory foam mattresses with the only decision that was influenced being to select a memory foam mattress with gel foam which supposedly cuts down on the supposed reputation of memory foam for sleeping hot.. I will try to remember to update this review along the way, but if I don't you can be guaranteed that it's because the mattress is treating me well.

This is my first memory foam mattress and I absolutely LOVE IT SO FAR! I weigh 155 lbs and I sink in just enough to feel my impression form on the foam. I also have no problem rolling around (as this was a common complaint for many foam mattresses). I suppose a heavier person may sink in more than myself, but it feels pretty bottomed out. When I stand on the bed, it doesn't feel like my feet sink any deeper than my body does when im laying down.

NO Initial off gassing, NO problem sitting on the edges, NO more than 5-6 hrs to expand to Queen size... and NO WAY can this mattress be moved around easily by one person after you unroll it. (Imagine trying to move around a person more than twice your size - now imagine that same person without a skeleton :) If you plan on moving soon, you may want to wait to purchase this until after the move.

While I have no prior experience for comparison, i'm sure the MyGel helps keep the sleeping temperatures down. That said I have certainly woken up a few times over the last few weeks feeling uncomfortably hot. However, simply rolling over out of the hot zone feels like entering a cool fluffy cloud. I normally sleep pretty poorly and inconsistently. There was no miracle here, however I do only wake up at most twice/night now. I certainly do sleep deeper and I'm sure its the mattress.

As of now, the mattress has seen no guests. However, I'll definitely add any remarks others may make.

While I can't say that this is the best mattress at this price since I'd have to test them all, I can honestly say that I'm not disappointed by it. Based on my initial impressions, I would recommend this.

All reviews, including this one, are subject to personal preference. I found this mattress to be absolutely terrible, and what I expected to be the best nights sleep I've had in a long time turned out to be an almost sleepless night. I found the mattress to hold in too much heat, causing back sweating. Rather than contouring to my body, I simply sank into it just enough that turning or moving at all became difficult.

Replaced this with an expensive pillow top spring mattress and couldn't be happier. However, this is all based on my personal preference, likes, dislikes, etc. You may find it to be heaven on earth... that's the problem with mattresses, you can research till the cows come home, but you won't know anything really until you try it.

Love this mattress. Most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. We have had it a few months and I have no complaints. I have recommended to several people and know of 2 that has already bought one and they love it too! My boyfriend built us a king size platform bed and it is perfect! But one of my friends bought one to go on top of their box springs and they are just as happy so it works for either.

We finally ditched the 12+ year old spring mattress we had. So glad we did and I wish we had made the switch to this mattress along time ago. I have had the bed now for about 8 months. A mattress is a big and important purchase and I know all of these reviews helped me a lot. Here is what I like about it. Hope it helps:

1) The firmness is perfect for my wife and I. We are both about 5' 9" and 165 lbs.
2) The memory foam really supports your body well. You can feel the mattress on all your pressure points...and it seems to give just enough.
3) You don't feel the other person move as much.
4) Have made it through a hot summer (in Georgia) with no complaints about a hot bed. We don't keep our thermostat very low (82 at night). I have never felt like the bed is making me hot.
5) I just sleep more comfortable. I used to wake up with aches in my ribs and shoulders...probably due to the way the springs pushed on me. After a few weeks of sleeping on this mattress those aches went away. This was true for me and my wife.

Other points of interest:

1) Follow the instructions and let your bed decompress for a few days. It is really cool watching it grow!
2) We didn't find the smell that strong at all. I would say after a few weeks it was not very noticeable. Now...there is no smell at all.
3) The bed seems to be thicker than a traditional mattress. You may find that your old sheets no longer fit. I have the problem with our fitted sheet sliding off because it doesn't wrap under the mattress enough.
4) Make sure you unpack the bed in the room where you want it. This thing is a bugger to move once its decompressed.
5) My wife's back problems got better after we switched mattresses. However, she re-injured it and had to briefly switch back to a normal mattress. This was because changing positions on a foam mattress takes more work. You can't just roll because the mattress has formed around you a little. So if you are need to change positions a lot then you may not like a memory foam mattress. That being said...I don't change positions nearly as much as I did when we used a regular mattress. I'm just more comfortable. I often stay in the same position now all night.
6) Slightly off topic....I decided to try a memory foam pillow as well. Love it. My old pillows were always the wrong thickness. Not the case with the foam pillow.

Final Thoughts:

I would recommend this bed. We looked at several more expensive memory foam mattresses. I find it hard to believe they would be worth 2-4 times the price of this one. Great value. At this price I will be ok buying a new one every 3 years if need be. Happy sleeping folks!

This mattress is firm, but very comfortable, it supports your body and also allows your body to sink in where needed without making you too hot. It also is an excellent value, costing much less than many memory foam mattresses. I would reccommend this mattres to everyone.

It's my first memory foam mattress, and I can't imagine going back. All the morning aches and pains I used to wake up with are completely gone, and I can't wait to get into bed every evening. That's how great this mattress is!

I've had this bed for about a month now and absolutely love it. It arrived quick, and provided the best sleep I've ever had from the first night that I laid on it. I also normally sweat very heavily at night, but not on this bed. I really can't say enough good things about it. The only negative is that it is a little firm, so if you like your bed pillowey this one might not be for you.
