This is a classic bit of rock from a group who were better than a lot of people recognized. Big Tony Driggins doing "Country Flavor" is something I never tire of. Anyone who likes Southern Rock (even though the group was from Ann Arbor, as I understand, their sound was Southern), will like this. This one, and YEAH! were their best efforts, in my opinion.

The 2nd lp. from Ann Arbors Brownsville Station is sadly underappreciated and overlooked. Coming off the pure adrenaline of No BS..the band settled down and stretched out a bit..and wrote some good originals. Wanted Dead Or Alive ranks as one of the best in their catalog..and the live stuff at the end gives a little idea of what went on onstage back then. Mr. Roberts...Country Flavor..Rock With The Music..all killer toons. Do yourself a favor and pick this up..it's always been one of my favorites.

I was lucky enough to see Brownsville Station in Buffalo in 1970 and will never forget them! They were one of the best acts of their day, shaking up a crowd to their limit. Cub Koda is a master showman and comic. I obtained this lp in high school in the early 70s and know it by heart. They do every style of rock with absolute pizazz and expertise. An lp for all times, rocking out with Mr Robert, All Saints R&R and mellowing out with Jonah's Here To Stay. Nothing but good, fun wholesome straight ahead rock you can dance to as though you were out for a nite on the town. Rest in peace Mr Koda, who passed in 2000.
