5.0 out of 5 stars underrated album, underrated band
Add class, grace, and professionalism, and you get Queen. With the amazing voice of one beloved Freddie Mercury (RIP), along with Brian May's quirky guitar licks, Taylors's drummin, and Deacon's no-nonsense bass beat, Queen will forever be unforgettable. This album changed my musical horizons. I could not believe what I was hearing on this album. It is a masterpiece...

3.0 out of 5 stars Great album, bad vinyl pressing?
The three stars are for the bad pressing on I received, otherwise this great album deserves 5 stars through and through. My copy skips during the end of "Sweet Lady" (the best song on the album) which is very annoying. I'm not sure if all pressings are like this but beware when buying this gem on vinyl.

This album changed my musical horizons. I could not believe what I was hearing on this album. It is a masterpiece. Bohemian Rhapsody is only a smidget of what makes up this wonderful album. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! The next album to get after this one is the joyful "A DAY AT THE RACES". Another masterpiece that never ceases to inspire me!

5.0 out of 5 stars Wow - who'd of thought they could improve on this CD?, June 20, 2000
This review is from: Night at the Opera (Audio CD)
I didn't think that it was possible... but they acctually improved on Queen's A Night at the Opera. Undisputedly the greatest Queen album ever, it most definately deserves the coveted honor of being gold-plated. If you're not a big queen fan, you could settle for the regular version. But if you like Queen, this is for you!

5.0 out of 5 stars Too little for too much $$, August 25, 2000

I had to rate the CD as a 5 star disc, simply because either as a gold plated disc or a vinyl album, this thing just rocks! I was, however; disappointed to see that no bonus tracks had been added, nor was there very much information about just what was being purchased on the website. I found the production differences negligable, despite the fact that I have a pretty good sound system. Bottom line...buy the standard disc...its' just as good, and you can spend the extra money on other Queen CDs.

5.0 out of 5 stars Even better than the MOFI release, September 14, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: Night at the Opera (Audio CD)
Forget about the regular release of this disc. It the best sounding version out there. DCC have made this disc so good it's even better than the MOFI release. Putting a price tag on a difference in quality is always difficult but when you want the best and have the money to spend than you've got to buy this one!

5.0 out of 5 stars Queen - A Night At The Rock Show, April 22, 2002
This review is from: A Night at Opera (24bt) (Audio CD)
Straight off, if you like your rock heavy and angry, with no frills, this is not for you. Queen utilise their extraordinary talents in this, arguably their best album, to produce varying styles of song. The amazing thing is that they do all of these styles very well for example a country song immediately leaps into a ballad, that leads into a rock song, followed by a Noel Coward-esque ditty. All in all, it is a very exciting musical experience, and the effects that guitar deity Brian May manages to produce are second to none. And oh, it's got Bohemian Rhapsody on it as well.

5.0 out of 5 stars VINYL review., June 22, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)

The vinyl is 180g and sounds superb. I gave it the first spin and was delighted. The vocals overshadow the rest of the recordings on the album, but I am sure that was their intention. I still have to play it at full volume to be completely satisfied, but I liked the sound of it.

It was as if I was listening to bohemian rhapsody for the very first time! After listening to it on the radio for a million times and on cd. Great sound.

This is the best CD I have ever known. Mercury can be called: Mozart of the rock music.I am really happy that this album was released. Thank you Queen!
