When I was a little girl in the late 60s--there were two favorite larger-sized books that I read
over and over again and cherished. One of them was Twas The Night before Christmas. It was
an oversized hardback with a bright blue cover with Santa in Red and his bag of toys...and to this day I've never seen that exact book as its probably long out of print...however, the illustrations in this little paperback are the Exact same ones. The old fashioned Santa and the mother and father in their nightcaps and the toys etc. Just beautiful detail and just like the 'old' days! Brings back fond memories. I wish I could find my old book...it was pretty worn out after many years of reading, but I can share a little of my childhood with my two little young nieces with this book! A great deal for the money too! I will give them these as a late Christmas present for next year and years to come!

The illustrations are gorgeous, and the words are nicely paced for easy reading with small children. The words are original to the poem, which is also a plus.

Bought a copy for each of the grandkids to have for Christmas Eve. Inexpensive but has wonderful illustrations.
