Night of the Flesh Eaters 2010 NR

2.3 out of 5 stars (40) IMDb 4.6/10

On the most evil night of the year, a beautiful blond woman and ruggedly handsome archeologist hitman find themselves trapped in a forest haunted by bizarre flesh eating Native American demon zombies. As they flee the woman's crime boss husband, who seeks to murder them for their illicit love affair, their car is destroyed in a head-on collision with one of the demons, a Stone Man. The blond woman and assassin must escape the perils of the dark and evil forest, on foot, without becoming demon food or getting themselves slaughtered by the woman's vengeful, fat cat husband.

There was a little twist and one good joke at the end. That was the good. Well, not worth 90 minutes, but a welcome surprise after it sucking so bad throughout the entire movie. Whatever you do, if you've wasted enough of your life to watch this movie, don't skip the last minute or two.

The sound mixing wasn't bad, but who cares...

Ever watch 2 people fighting and divorcing and constantly tearing each other apart? Know how uncomfortable that makes you feel? This whole movie is a 90 minute argument like that. I have a horrible head cold and it hurts to lay down, so I watched this.

They can get out of trouble at any time. But a 3 minute drive becomes 30 minutes of like stupid arguing and stupid questions and stupid observations. Then it starts again. The whole movie is 1 1/2 hours of insane stupid conversation.

Plot was insane, acting very bad, effects ridiculously cheap, very little action since everyone's talking ALL the time, maybe 10 or less adult actors in the whole movie, filmed in dark of night. Didn't recognize a star, even from an extra on another movie.

By the end you hate the actors so much you just want them all to die. Even if they escape the pig snout nose clowns, and I think I got that term right, you just want to strangle yourself to erase the trauma of seeing this.

It wasn't a zombie movie, by the way.

NIGHT OF THE FLESH EATERS is a low-low budget horror film. In spite of its financial constraints, it manages to be inventive, entertaining, and often hilariously funny. A gangster and his goon head out to the deep woods to participate in the death of the gangster's cheating wife, and his now ex-partner at the hands of a mysterious -and very loud- hit man. Unbeknownst to anyone involved, the forest is alive w/ supernatural activity, including a host of cannibalistic demons of various types! Terror erupts when midnight strikes, unleashing the hellish hordes! It's rare to find much originality in horror these days, but this movie introduces several unique creatures -dwarf cannibals, fire dogs, stone man, etc.- of murderous intent. The dialogue, though somewhat wooden, is overall quite humorous, and the characters are enjoyable. Is there cheeeze? Yes. Schlock? Obviously. Still, NOTFE does what fewer and fewer new movies of its genre are doing lately. It makes 80 minutes sail by without displaying the same tired, old formula! Five stars for heart and originality...

Watch this for what it is. It is a fun, silly, inventive movie that never fails to entertain...except the first 20 minutes or so. I bet allot of the one star ratings have to do with that. The start of the movie is slow, badly acted (on purpose), wooden, and seems like it is a waste of time. It isn't. What you get, if you endure a bit, is probably one of the most imaginative horror/comedy movies I have seen. If they had just upped something, probably the gore, this would be a cult classic (even though it is a intentional spoof). Give this movie a bit of your time and it will reward you!

OK, If you are a horror/zombie/creature snob you will hate this. It is not a horror movie although thee creatures are pretty creepy. This is a comedy and it is hilarious. Pure camp. During the first fifteen minutes I thought that this was some of the worst acting and dialogue that I had ever watched, but quickly realized that the actors were acting at being bad actors. There are just too many campy scenes to count. This is not a movie that you have to think about. It is silly, stupid and very, very funny. Watch for the David Crosby look-a-like evil medicine man toward the end.

I really, really liked this movie ! It was more a comedy, with a little horror thrown in.Very funny, very good cast.

The three leads were perfect in their roles. You don't see that in a "B" movie too often.

It takes place entirely at night, but is well lit. You can see everything you need to see.

The Shaman at the end is the guy who wrote it. Highly recommended !!

McGarrity did a great job and is my doppleganger anyway, so I gotta give me, I mean him, a good rating. Yes, it's hokey, but it's exceptionally funny and gets my vote for the most outrageous horror movie with a comedic flair seen in a while.

Mix of mild humor and comedy. A variety of flesh eating creatures are released on an American Native Haloween like festival. An anthropologist and a mobster's girlfriend must survive the night while being chased by said mobster and creatures. Script is humorous, as are the special effects. Video quality fair.

It's not really a horror movie, nor is it a comedy but for a low budget movie, they've hit the sweet spot.

I enjoyed it all the way through and if you want to enjoy it, I would recommend taking the time.

Now, go get me a stick!
