i'm shocked that no one has written a review for this horrid excuse for a graphic novel. well the best part of the book is the cover, by talented digital artist clayton crain. mr. crain must've got either a nice paycheck or was forced into being associated with this piece of junk.

for starters, the interior art is absolutely awful. it's worse than middle school level artistry and at least those kids have an excuse. the writing is derivative and cliched at best and incoherent and sloppy at worst. there's a reason this book has copies going at 35 cents a piece. i finally got rid of mine today - sold it for $1.00 - i almost felt guilty that someone paid a whole dollar for this book.

the plot revolves around a man that is in a prison run by vampire guards. prison cliches ensue and then the story ends with a standoff between the head vampire warden and the prisoner. all the while, the book is drawn and colored in a manner that never gets the tone across that the book is a horror title. it feels more like a kid's comic with the light pastel coloring on everything. there are typos all over the place as well, so the editing even stinks.

i wish i had the hour back that it took me to finish reading this horrible mess.

stay away from this book and go buy a bazooka joe with your quarter.
