5.0 out of 5 stars Paul Taylors Nightlife and Joe Johnsons Life of the Party ..
I just picked up both CD's today and Man they are really smoking!!! Paul's new record is killing and I'm really loving the opening/ title track "Nightlife".This is really a class act smooth jazz CD. I see why radio can't get enough of it. I also picked up Joe Johnson's "Life of the Party" and his whole CD is totally "Off the Hook". Where did this brother come from...

These are easily the "two best" smooth sax CD's thus far in 2005...... 10 Thumbs up for "Both Artist"!!

5.0 out of 5 stars This is a phenomenal album all the way through!, April 22, 2005
This review is from: Nightlife (Audio CD)
Paul Taylor sounds phenomenal on Nightlife! There's a good balance of smooth jazz songs as well as a few funky numbers. My favorite on here is After Hours, where everything all clicks! It has such a smooth vibe throughout and the landscapes and atmospheres in the song sound so very good. I liked his take of the Force MD's 1985 hit, Tender Love. The last song is nice too with its live percussion. Very consistent all the way through and Barry Eastmond, Dino Esposito, and Rex Rideout produced some fabulous numbers here!

Extremely nice CD for any mood you're in. Variety of sounds going. Cool surprises in the midst of the "Don't Wait Up" track. You'll never go wrong with the quality, the grooves, & the versatile styles Paul Taylor is packing!! Maxi Priest is an added treat to the whole mix with the "Tender Love" track.

I had a chance to see this gentlemen in concert this year and He is great! On this cd you have the Reggae Dance tune, Anything You Say. I love this song!!! The sexy, Silk & Lace, the mellow tunes, Candlelight and Night Life, the funky, Around The Corner, and the smooth jazz tunes, Enjoy The Ride, Things Left Unsaid and After Hours are great. I did not particular care for the remake of Full Forces', Tender Love done by my all-time favorite Reggae Recording Artist, Maxi Priest. I just thought this song did not fit on this cd. I really did not care for it when it was an R&B single at the time.

The cd is okay but his best work has been on previous cd's like Hypnotic, On The Horn, Undercover and lets not forget his Greatest Hits cd. All of these are cds that one should have in their collection.

In my opinion, I thought that the cd was good but not better than the previous ones even thou there are some songs on it that I really liked. I think that I just have to give it time and it will grow on me. I would still add it to my collection just because it's Paul Taylor and because I am a huge fan of his.

One Luv

5.0 out of 5 stars "All that and a bowl of Chips", August 30, 2005

By far the best CD Paul Taylor has ever made. It is "All That and a Bowl of Chips". If you enjoy the smooth jazz sax, place this one in your collection. You'll be glad you did !!

5.0 out of 5 stars WOW!!!, January 29, 2007
This review is from: Nightlife (Audio CD)
When I first heard the title track, it produced a free feeling-roll down the car window, throw open the sun roof kinda groove. I couldn't wait to buy it! (Missed him last year at the jazz fest!)

The whole CD is worth buying. Easy grooving, listening, nice bass and drum lines.
