Alright, I know. Rather odd for a 12 year old GIRL to be playing games like this. But what can I say, I'm hooked! I don't own this game, but my cousin does, and he let me play it. I was instantly hooked. Nadia is by far the best of the two heros you can play. With her, you can kill those pesky zombies much more easily. You just have to lop off their head and then slice 'em in half! All the levels are seriously creepy, and eerie. You wander around in foggy, dark, bloody, abandoned cities and streets. Then, out of nowhere, a monster will jump out at you! The only annoying thing is that you die if you get into the water. That makes things a bit difficult when you are surrounded by water monsters, lashing out at you while you try to get to a boat while running around on a maze-like dock. A good challenge though! And the best thing is that if you do a certain cheat, you can play as a monster! I won't tell you the cheat though...you have to find it yourself! I think this is one of the best games ever!

Suprisingly scary, extremely gory, terrible play control. That's "Creatures" in a nut-shell. It is to my understanding that this game came out for Playstation before the N64. Maybe it needed more development time to enhance the creepy graphics. Or mabye it was to add more creature sounds you here in the distance. Well, whatever it was, it sure wasn't play control. Sudden camera angle changes make the controls hard to manage and frustrating. But I'm guessing it WAS the graphics because they are better than great, suprisingly. What makes the game so scary are when monsters suddenly pop out of no where and make you jump. It's also the tense music and creature sounds that are heard right before the monsters jump out of nowhere. Not for the squeamish. Here are the key elements that make a game good: (Out of 10) Scares: 9 Suspense: 8 Graphics: 9 Game Design: 7 Play Control: 5 Satisfaction: 7 Sound: 10

Nightmare Creatures is by far one of the most chilling and enjoyable games for the N64. At first you get hooked into the zombies and all the fleshy, smelly, greusome baddies. As the game goes on your fear almost melts away and you will figure out that you need these creatures for your adrenaline bar so you won't become a zombie yourself. To sum up the game I have a few comments 1. Killing the baddies is a whole lot of fun. 2. Rent this around Halloween it will get you into the spirit 3. The gameplay is exactly the same as Tomb Raider especially if you play as Nadia.

Nightmare Creatures, at the beginning, displays mostly action with a low "fear" element. But as the game progesses, it becomes inceasingly more creepy and eery. This game is a must if you're a fan of dismembering evil creatures and exploring dark, spooky alleyways. Overall, it's a very enjoyable game.

This Game is Extremely Violent as far as Video Games go. But all Video games, including this one look sooooo fake that it will DEFINATELY NOT make someone want to commit Violence. Just Get this game, It is a lot of fun to play. I suggest Ages 15 and up only though.

I first bought this game at a flea market about a year ago for like 4 bucks not expecting much. I thought for 4 bucks i'd run with it. On my first play of the game i thought to myself, "These controls suck and i have no idea where to go". sitting on my couch in my gloomy unfinished basement, i now realize that this was the perfect way to start the game, confused, cold, without a clue what to expect. upon figuring out how to operate basic controls i found myself lumbering around beating random zombies and enjoying it. then i start to figure out what to do. exploring dungeons and crypts, this is the first game I've ever played that actually scared me. I have played resident evil at 2 in the morning and i still say this can be a thriller through its first plays to the unwary. Over all me and my friend enjoy trying to get farther and farther in its plot.
The game being as great as it is there are some flaws to its design. First, the controls are horrid, you will find your self in situations were maneuvering can cause damage or death unless you have played the game for long periods of time. every once and a while you will find your self in a "learn to jump or die!!!!" scenario, there is a bridge that just HAS to be broken down the middle and if you don't know how to jump or mess up on your jump, YOU...WILL...DIE !!!! its as simple as that, because of all the people in the world that kill monsters you gotta be the one that can't swim. But otherwise this is an undiscovered classic, but i have play 2 yet... Scares: 6 Suspense: 4 Graphics: 6.5 Game Design: 7 Play Control: 4.5 Satisfaction: 7.5 Sound: 7 Over All: 7/10

Most 3D beat em up's suck but Nightmare Creatures from Activision is very good. The gore is good unlike Golden Axe Beast Rider & this was made in 1997 or 98 & beast rider was made in 2008 good God that game is a piece of sh!*. Now you play as either a guy Ignatius Blackward or the girl Nadia Franciscus chasing Adam Crowly all over England hacking slashing decapitating slicing limbs off setting monster after monster on fire using dynamite & you can use a weapon to make the monsters fight each other with some hilarious results. The only real problem was the last battle it is a pain in the @$$. I just use the girl she has the best combos. Nightmare Creatures is a very good game anybody looking for a good hack em up should get it.

Nightmare Creatures would have been cool, but the control was horrible, it felt unnatural, and the camera angle control was also awful. Also, it had a dumb stroyline. It did have nice graphics, some of the music was good, and some of the creatures were cool too. Overall, though, the game was very bad.
