Hei this is the 2nd Freternia album, no I haven't heard the 1st album yet because that album is rare item but A Nightmare Story is a good metal album. Their music is a melodic metal if you like HELLOWEEN you must like this to because FRETERNIA perform track 'Murderer' in KEEPER OF JERICHO- Helloween tribute album and they are very good, with Pasi Humppi vocal is scream a lot though is not good as KISKE or HANSEN of course!!! Try and hear the album you won't regret it it has story in every song, but the most like is 'Grimbor The Great', 'Shadowdancer' and 'Requiem' it has very good, epic & melodic metal.HAIL!!Hope my review helpful & good use for you metal maniacs!

the power metal scene is awesome but there are so friggin many mediocre bands out there that are the equivilant of a one hit wonder, but once every now and then we are fortunate enough to stumble on an album worthy of cult status and this my metal brethren is one of those albums.this album will hit you in the same way an album like keeper of the seven keys keeps you entranced from beginning to end, the songs are all mellodic soaring anthems that tie together to make a full story. the musicianship is superb, amazing riffs amazing solos, amazing drums. the singer is perfect for this style but is not a top 10 singer. still he does great here. this band was on my radar as one of the next big things but they have not put out an album since this one. still if you are tired of spending cash on metal cds and ending up with just a few good songs here and there, then buy this and get your full moneys worth for a change. this is a classic that should not be overlooked by any fan of power metal. also if you are new to metal. and i dont mean mainstream bull like godsmack and seether, then check out bands like running wild, grave digger and rage and listen to what metal is supposed to sound like
