Once again a great read continuing on with this awesome Nightmare World series.

Though each story is, indeed, very short, the results are satisfying, unpredictable, and sometimes shocking.

It really adds a lot to the show how each story can stand alone with its own art.

The third book in Dirk Manning's Nightmare World series and the quality is still as strong as ever. Each story is only around 8 pages long has a different setting and often has different characters, while this may discourage some readers I say "C'mon in! The water is fine". Dirk Manning accomplishes more in 8 pages than many writers achieve with 30. The characters are interesting and the story is constantly evolving along a number of different tales that weave and interlink in ways that will make you do a double take. I found myself constantly flipping back through the book and discovering connections, but it wasn't annoying because slowly you start to realize that there is a huge overarching story that fills you with a sense of dread and wonder and you start to think "how didn't I see it all before?"

Horror is a genre that is misunderstood in this day of Hollywood shock value and gore, but Manning brings it back to its roots by instilling a slow sense of terror that keeps building the more stories are presented.

Another awesome part of this book is that each story has a different artist, each with their own style. It really adds a lot to the show how each story can stand alone with its own art.

Overall this book is awesome, it stands by itself but is best bought along with the first two so that you can grasp the entire underlying story

My favorite piece of media from a person who actually talks to his fans. This trilogy is like a giant puzzle that once it's put together, it's so mind blowing and hard to conceive that you have to tear it apart so you can put it back together again. I compare it to a film directed by Quentin Tarentino and written by H.P. Lovecraft. This is a wild ride that you'll want to ride over and over again.

Dirk Manning is a fantastic writer who has crafted something special in his Nightmare World series. Though each story is, indeed, very short, the results are satisfying, unpredictable, and sometimes shocking. When taken for the stories, the collection would be well worth the cover price, but when you figure in the fact that all of the stories across all of the volumes forms a cohesive narrative, the value far outweighs what you pay for it. Manning has achieved a something very special with Nightmare World; a chilling, thought-provoking series that's as fun as it is deep.

Cute is the best word I could use to describe this book. Falls into the "if you've seen one, you've seen 'em all" category.
