After I finished the first book I immediately bought this one. This didn't disappoint me and filled in some gaps that were left wide open in the first. The plot slowly is getting together along. Just as the first volume, this sadly has some corny quotes and cliche moments. I still enjoyed it though. The artwork is wonderful and nicely drawn. There's some humor added into all the seriousness, if there is any.

Not much happens in this volume but it still isn't a failure. I love it.

Nightschool is another great series by Svetlana. She's a great writer and a great illustrator. I always love her books. Unlike Dramacon, however, the Nightschool books are a bit darker and a bit crazier. They also focus on the supernatural aspects that have become popular in culture at the moment (vampires, weirns, etc. as well as the people who hunt them). This book shows a dark and light side to just about every creature, so no sparkly vampires here. In this book, the main character you follow is a girl who is a weirn. She is cursed to harm anyone that she says she cares for. As a result she stays away from society as much as possible until her sister literally disappears from the face of the earth. The second book is a beautiful continuation of an ultimately wonderful four book series. It's definitely worth a read.

I really loved volume 1, but volume 2 topped it. And I am very happy about this. I had a bunch of remaining questions that bothered me after the first volume, but they're well resolved with volume 2.

Overall, I did not recommend volume 1 heavily to friends [despite that I liked it fairly well] because it felt incomplete. With the addition of volume 2, however, I feel like the stage is now set very nicely for an excellent story. I can now make my friends read it without worrying they'll dislike it. :3

And WOW! Chapter 11 was made of awesome! >3<

I hope that as the series develops, things can be set up faster so that we can get to the fun part faster.

The local bookstore (Borders) carries quite a few anime books however we were unable to find this particular series. We ordered it from Amazon and he loved it! He can't wait to order more.
