It is not your typical romance book; suppose it would be more like chic lit. It is very good though. More realistic than all the romance books out there with the happily ever afters. I would have liked a few more pages after the climax as well as a time frame for the epilogue. I wasn't too sure how much time had passed there. However, feeling like I knew Sarah I would say at least 6 months if not longer. I would have also liked to have revisited her thoughts instead of just ending on Brett's. Claudia. . . yeah it would have been nice to have explored her character a little bit more. There was obviously something wrong with her. Ms. James did show how Brett was finally changing though not just with the circumstances of being a father but emotionally, the way he thought too. Granted he hurts another in the process but sometimes that is how it is. I liked that Sarah came into her own and realized a few things on her own but I suppose some of that came with the birth of the baby. That is definitely something that would make you grow up.

Oh yeah and Kudos to her for having Sarah act like a woman of today would act and not be so forgiving right off the bat even though she loves Brett! That seems to be very hard to find in a book. Usually the H/h just overlook the infidelity or the h has to push back any type of pride that she might have and take the H back so that the happily ever after can happen. That isn't always the case and sometimes the best thing is to walk away.

Would be nice to have a few more books from Ms. James maybe even something that would touch back on these characters to see how they are doing later on.
