When R&B was actually good, November 17, 2005
This review is from: Niice & Wild (Audio CD)
Chuckii Booker first bust onto the scene in 1989 with his smash single Turned Away, after which he was the muscial director on Janet Jackson's 1989 Tour. Booker played the background producing for everyone from Troop to Philip Bailey. His 1992 CD featured the smash hit Games and the follow up single With All My Heart. Booker from what I hear is still on the scene playing the background and producing but here's hoping one day he comes back.

Chuckii Is a Musical Guru!!, September 26, 2004
This review is from: Niice & Wild (Audio CD)
Please do not sleep on Chuckii Booker's skills. He is one of the most gifted, blessed, talented, wonderful artist, composer, musician, and Musical Director around. Yes, he is still around and causing quite a stir in the music industry. Not only does he have a famous godfather (Barry White) But he gets accolades from Gerald Albright, Troop, Lalah Hathaway, EnVogue, Art Porter, New Edition, and Tina Turner to name a few. Since his induction with his self-title album in May of 89 he has never left the scene. He is just behind the scenes. Am I a Fan... You better believe if from now until there is no more!!!!

Niice N' Wiild is tiite, December 29, 2003
This review is from: Niice & Wild (Audio CD)
Chuckii is one of those unsung R&B heroes of the late 80's early 90's who never got the recognition because of Bobby Brown, Al B. Sure and New Jack artists in general. I am an old school funk fan and by far, would recommend this CD to anyone who loves great music, arrangements and phat R&B/Pop tracks. Too bad he is overlooked because he definitely has his own style, sound and following. He is honorably respected from his musical peers not only as a writer but as a musician as well. Chuckii, if ever by chance you stumble upon this review, just know that you have a true fan from Detroit. J.D.
