Great at what it does
on September 11, 2013
I've been using mine for about 15 months now. I wear it 24/7 and download it's data to my IPAD every day or two. It does an excellent job of showing you your relative activity level for the day. There are many, many days where I got up and got active because it was 3pm and I was nowhere near my daily goal.
Is it perfect? No. The accelerometers are on your wrist. activities that keep your arms/wrists stable won't show up. Bicycling, especially on a stationary bike, for example. Some activities give an exaggerated picture: Folding laundry will show up more than a half hour weight training.
I'd say if you are a gym rat or are a habitual compulsive exercise nut... save your money... this gadget isn't for you. BUT if you tend toward being a couch potato and need some incentive to get moving, this could be the thing you are looking for.
