I like them except I believe the color description is misleading. Crimson should also be paired with the fact that it has a blend of (and I hesitate to use the word) tangerine...not red, not crimson, but some sort of fruity tropical color. Fortunately I don't mind it all that much, but I was originally thinking it was a bright red, which part of it is, but most of what appears to be red is this tangerine color. Just FYI in case that color offends your masculinity...which maybe it should.

This is a cross between cross training and running shoe. It isn't as flexible and slim as a typical running shoe. I switched between Nike and Adidas shoe. Like the look of the shoe with the fat air max. I prefer darker shoe so it doesn't stick out (I have the black grey). I was ready to buy a nike foam running shoe, but when I was tried this shoe on, I spend the extra to get it. It has that unibody design like a mock, but with shoe lace. Also I am flat footed, so there are no arches that hurt my feet. If you want arch buy those arch sole replacement.

This might be the softest nicest fitting shoe I worn and I have owned many air max before. The fittign is average not too narrow as other running shoe, but it is not a wide shoe either.

For someone who is an average runner, I was looking for a running shoe that would be comfortable, inexpensive, and look unique all at the same time. While researching I came upon the Nike Fingertrap Max. These shoes run around $100, which is a great price when you look at its qualities:

First, the Nike Fingertrap Max running shoes are durable. As an average runner I did not want to have to keep replacing shoes all that often. The outsides are made of rough leather which not only kept it looking great for a while, but it also was easy to clean. A simple wipe down with a magic eraser and these shoes looked brand new.

When selecting a running shoe, comfort is always a top priority. Nike does a great job in the design of these shoes. They seem a little wide, but when you put your foot inside you immediately feel how snug and pleasant these running shoes are. Not only are these shoes comfy, but they also are visually appealing. The design of the shoe itself is not comparable to other shoes in the market and they are available in many different colors. Nike went above and beyond creating these shoes. Based on looks and comfort alone I would consider these shoes as some of my personal favorites.

Adding to the comfort of the shoe is the Fingertrap (woven) portion of the shoe near the toes. These slots allow air flow inside the shoe making your run more comfortable. That is not all it is designed for. They also allow the runner’s foot to flex more naturally. The added grip underneath the shoes lets runners use these specific shoes in all climate conditions.

If you are in the market for a running shoe or any type of athletic shoe that is comfortable, moderately inexpensive, durable, and looks great then I would highly recommend looking into the Fingertrap Max made by Nike.

Good luck and happy running!

Fit
This shoe will hug your foot. If you have worn a sock before, this is going to be a similar feel for you. The Nike Fingertrap Max fits true to size, so go with what size you usually wear for this shoe.

Traction
The pattern on the bottom of this shoe is made out of rubber, therefore you will find yourself very well planted to almost any surface you encounter. However, keep in mind if there is lots of dust on the floor, you may need to wipe off the bottom frequently in order to prevent yourself from slipping.

Design
This shoe, however taste is subjective, is very good looking. You can wear it to the gym, or depending on the color scheme you go with, you can wear it with a pair of jeans to a casual setting. The weaving pattern on the outside of the shoe is definitely unique and modern, so if this fits your style, you will be happy with your purchase.

Durability
This is my second pair of this particular pair of shoes. If you put a beating on your shoes, like I do, this shoe will last you between 9 to 12 months. The parts that usually go bad on this shoe is the heel, where you slide your feet in. It begins to break and loses support.

Overall
This shoe has been my go to shoe for the past two years. It is by far and away the most comfortable pair of shoes that my feet have had the pleasure of meeting. I hope this review helps you in your selection of new shoes, and that your shoes live up to your expectations, as these have to mine.

This shoe does a great job of providing a balance between being a light flexible shoe, and providing support and traction. The no-tongue design allows the shoe to be more snug around the base of the ankle which makes it harder to put on, but also more secure once it is on. The design on the inside is a flat-footed shoe, which allows you to do more activities than just running. I believe the woven design allows the shoe to bend with the every-day movements my foot makes. The shoe is more than just a running shoe for me, and its comfortable fit allows me to do other physical activities in them. I’ve worn them while playing basketball, going on a jog, or even just walking to class. The air pocket design at the end of the shoe is very noticeable when doing most activities. It gives extra spring when jumping and running and just provides extra support for my heal overall.
The traction on the bottom of the shoe reminds me of the design of a car tire and I believe this helps with making cuts and the lateral movements of certain activities. I’ve owned the pair of shoes for 6 months now and the traction has started to wear down, but that’s going to happen with any type of Nike shoe that you wear on almost an every-day basis. Overall, the comfortability is what set this shoe apart more than anything. I would recommend this shoe to anyone that is doing any cross-training, jogging, or just looking for a cozy and relaxed shoe to wear around.
