Nike One Vapor Dozen Golf Balls

Ever since the wife found out how much the Pro V1x's cost the search has been on for a new golf ball. These would be in the same category as the Calloway Hotbite, Taylormade Burner TP, Titleist NXT, and the Bridgestone E series. All pretty decent balls especially considering a few years ago the midgrade balls were almost as bad as playing a range ball. These things fly extremely long with very limited spin off the driver and still have a good amount of feel around the greens. They hop and stop on pitch shots and hold the green very well with full wedge and short iron shots. Nike really hit one out of the park with their new ball lineup in 2010.

However, since the the Nike One Tour D has now entered the Mid-Range price at <$30 a box that is the way to go. They have better feel, seem to react more consistently around the greens and have only a limited distance loss over the Vapor. The Vapor's are still my #2 mid priced ball but I feel the minimal price upgrade to the One Tour D is a no brainer.

When I told my husband he was receiving an early birthday present his response was "A bit too early isn't it? My birthday isn't until November." The minute his eyes saw these golf balls his whole face light up like a kid's at Christmas. I asked him if 'these would be good for his game' and he enthusiastically assured me they would be. Even if they are no different than any others he has convinced himself that playing Augusta can't be too far off. Psych is a great part of anything, so who knows? The placebo effect is well documented in medicine so why not sports? It brings me great joy to give him something that he liked so much.

These were a gift to my husband. He was ecstatic over how these balls played and will change to this brand now.

I got this with a gift certificate - 4 packs. Since i improved my games 4 packs should last me quite a long time. From my drives, on good hit I was able to carry about 260. I am not a long hitter, (about 95 to 100 club head speed). I like the feel of impact with these balls. Definitely recommend them

I was skeptical when I first bought these balls. I thought they would be rocks like a TopFlite or Bridgestone e6. But I was pleasantly surprised and happy with them after my first round. It is not made to fly straight like a Bridgestone e6, and it is not as soft as a ProV. However, this ball is directly in the middle of the scale of Hard/Soft. I was surprised at how soft it was around the green and how it rolls true, it really is good.

The One Vapor is also an extremely durable ball. I am by no means Tiger Woods, but I am 7 or 8 handicap. I get 3 or 4 rounds out of each ball easily if I don't end up losing it mid-round. The cover of the ball does doesn't get smudged or marked up very easily. As the balls rolls true, it also flies true. If you square the face, this ball will go a long way.

In summary, I don't hesitate giving this ball a 5-Star review. I was extremely pleased with this ball. It is very similar to Titleist's NXT Tour ball and at a much better price for a dozen. The One Vapor both flies and rolls true and will easily last a good 2-4 rounds per ball. For around 20-25 bucks this is in my opinion the best ball on the market for the price. I strongly recommend this ball for anyone who is not a scratch golfer.

I got a dozen of these and in my short time at the course with them before they closed for the winter, I can tell you that they didnt help, but they didnt hurt either. I am new to golf and maybe thats why they didnt make any difference, I dont know. One good thing I can say for them, at least they didnt blow up.
