Yanni, in his first album Optimystique, 'created' a sound known the world over. Unfortunately, that sound was a blatant ripoff of the artist Styx. Yanni changes style from his prior albums in Niki Nana. The sound here is much more synth-orchestral - something Yanni and many other people thought had never been done before.

Some of the reviewers here have been lauding the track "Someday" from this album. With a quick listen to Jean-Michel Jarre's Revolutions album, released a year before Niki Nana, one will find a song that is almost exactly the same as "Someday" entitled "Computer Weekend". Both tracks start off with a water crashing sound, then to an upbeat synth ballad with very similar rhythms. The sounds and rhythm work well for both artists, but I would be very surprised if Yanni didn't based the song off Jean-Michel Jarre's work.

I've been looking for the CD of this album for a long time. I had the tape and it broke from over use. Now I'm enjoying this again.

Although Niki Nana is not much seintillating as other Yanni albums,"Someday" is really Unbelieveable!!!! This track is really worth a million. I think,it shows some of the finest sounds Yanni has ever created. Go and buy this album,"Someday" will really touch your heart.

"Niki Nana" starts the variation in Yanni's sounds with an incorporation of new instruments other than the piano and synthesizer, most notable of which are saxophone and strong drum beats. The song "Niki Nana", I believe, is the first vocal music recorded by Yanni. This album is great, but slightly less scintillating than other Yanni albums.

Played this album as soon as it came. Loved it. Very early work, but you can hear his style even then. I heard him the first time on the Johnny Carson Tonite Show. Linda Evans was his guest. She introduced Yanni to the public that nite. His style had already started to change to what it is now. Loved him then and love him now.

BEAUTIFUL. I FELL IN LOVE WITH HIS MUSIC WHEN I LISTENED REFLECTIONS OF PASSION AND SINCE THEN......... I'VE BEEN IN TWO OF HIS CONCERTS(ONE IN PUERTO RICO AND THE OTHER ONE IN TENNESSEE) AND I GOT TO TELL YOU, HE IS GREAT, EVEN MY HUSBAND LOVE HIS MUSIC.

A great collection......absolutely marvelous!!! It reminds me of my lost love..... But i am still alive.... SOMEDAY she will be mine. Thanx Yanni......

I DON'T CARE WHERE HE PERFORMS OR WHAT HE PERFORMS, HE BY FAR IS THE THE MOST TALENTED, GIFTED MUSICIAN OF OUR GENERATION WITHOUT ANY DOUBT. HE IS A MUSICAL GENIUS. I HAD THE HONOR AND PLEASURE OF SEEING HIM PERFORM IN CONCERT IN DECEMBER 2004 AND WAS TOTALLY BLOWN AWAY BY HIS MAGNIFICENCE. I JUST PRAY THAT AT LEAST ONE MORE TIME IN MY LIFETIME THAT I GET TO EXPERIENCE THAT AGAIN.
