I work all over the world filming wildlife and my money is tied up in camera gear. I didn't want to spend $1500 - $2000 on binoculars. I often travel with naturalists and scientists carrying Zeiss, Leica and Swarovski bino's and scopes. While those top shelf binoculars are better in some attributes the Nikons compare incredibly well, especially considering the enormous price difference. I'm very happy with them.
